Blog have personals opinion on any topic while wiki can be share and edit by many. Unlike blogs, those that have more knowledge on a specific subject tend to work on a Wiki so that like mind can share and comment on it if there is a mistake. Blog have a personal feel to it and anyone can post a blog up if something interest them at the spot and it can be anything. The great thing about blogs is that anyone can be a blogger while as someone who edited wiki needs some type of knowledge.
Both blog and wiki can be work on alone or in groups. Those that come together tend to get things done quick and provide more accurate information for those that seek it this is the common ground that Blog and Wiki share. A big blog requires more work and man power to get it out there. A small blog can accomplish by one or few in a short amount of time, unlike the complex one.To be able to work together on a common goal to help better others by providing up to date info is necessary this day and age. Information comes and goes the more people that work on it can compare with the more detail it can provide.
I do believe that wiki can still expand on however as it right now I am not sure how. The only thing I can that I'm sure other have thought of it and maybe try is video wiki but the more I think about it the more problem it is.
